1DShield

Stop a nuke while it's happening, and rebuild what was deleted.

1DShield protects your server from a nuke: someone (a hacked admin account, a rogue staff member or a malicious bot) deleting channels and roles, banning everyone, adding bots or handing out admin. It watches every change in your server's audit log as it happens. When one person goes over a limit, 1DShield takes away all their roles within seconds and tells you.

Turn it on at Dashboard → Safety → 1DShield. Only the server owner can change its settings.

For each one you can change the limit and the time, and choose Take all their roles, Ban them, Only alert or Off. A bot that goes over a limit is kicked, because a bot's own role can't be taken away. 1DShield also tells you if someone takes 1D3R's role away.

Who it never touches

  • The server owner, and 1D3R itself.
  • Your trusted list: roles, members and bots you pick. Keep it short. Most nukes come from a trusted admin whose account was hacked. Add bots that manage your server on purpose, like a backup bot.

Make sure it can stop anyone

1DShield can only take away roles that are below 1D3R's role. In Server Settings → Roles, drag 1D3R's role to the top. The 1DShield page warns you when roles with admin-level permissions are above it. It also needs View Audit Log, Manage Roles, Ban Members and Kick Members.

It can't stop someone who removes or bans 1D3R first, or who is the server owner.

Alerts and undo

Every time it steps in, 1DShield posts in your alert channel (your moderation log channel by default), can ping a role, and DMs the owner. Each one is listed under What 1DShield stopped, with the roles it took and anything the person deleted. If it was a mistake, press Give their roles back (or Unban them).

Snapshots and rebuilding (Premium)

With Premium:

  • Rebuild what they deleted: one click puts back every channel and role the person deleted. Channels come back in their categories with their permissions, roles come back with their permissions, and the roles are given back to the members who had them.
  • Snapshots: a copy of your roles, channels and who has each role, taken every day (the last 7 are kept), plus any you take yourself. Restore what's missing rebuilds anything in the snapshot that isn't in the server now. It never changes or deletes what's there.

Even on the free plan, 1DShield keeps a copy of every channel and role deleted while it's on (for 30 days), so you can rebuild them after upgrading.

Rebuilding can't bring back messages, and gives roles back to up to 2,000 members per rebuild.
