Voice recordings
Record a voice channel for training and documentation, with a transcript of who said what. Kept for 6 months.
Voice recordings are part of Premium. Use them for staff training, quality checks and documenting meetings. Each recording comes with a transcript of who said what, and AI meeting notes.
Record a session
- Join the voice channel you want to record.
- Run
/record start, and give it a name if you like. The bot joins, plays a short spoken notice that the session is being recorded, and starts. - Run
/record stopto finish. It also stops by itself if everyone leaves for 2 minutes.
/record status shows the recording that's running. The bot records one channel at a time per server.
Who can record: the server owner, Discord administrators, and the roles you choose on the dashboard's Recordings page. Until you choose, only your Staff role can record.
Tip: Let people know before you record. The spoken notice plays every time, but some communities also put it in their rules.
Listen, read and download
Open Recordings on the dashboard. Each recording can be played in the browser, opened to read the transcript, renamed or deleted.
- Audio downloads the MP3.
- Transcript downloads the transcript as a text file.
Recordings are kept for 6 months
To keep the bot's server from filling up, each recording is deleted 6 months after it was made, audio and transcript together. You can't get it back after that.
- The Recordings page shows the date each one will be kept until.
- In the last 14 days, it shows how many days are left, and the recording's page shows a warning.
- Download anything you want to keep before then: the audio and the transcript are both regular files you can save anywhere.
Recordings that are still running or being saved are never deleted. Recordings made before this rule started on your bot get at least 30 days from then, so nothing goes without a date showing first.
